Izabela is based in Warsaw. She advised over 200 food sector companies (EU & non-EU) and has extensive experience in liaising with official control bodies and authorities. She has specialized in food law matters since 2002, when she joined Poland’s food safety agency. During her time at the agency she participated in numerous EC and European Council working groups. Izabela’s core area of interest is food labeling, though she exhibits breadth as well as depth: her comprehensive knowledge and years of experience are truly unique, especially in matters concerning entering new markets. Always aware of the value of staying a step ahead of the market, she devotes a great deal of time to following new food law initiatives and food-related developments at the EC and EP.
Lara is a partner based in Brussels working on a wide range of food regulatory and policy matters, with a special focus on dairy products, nutrition and health claims, novel foods, botanicals and GMO, as well as the application of general principles of EU regulations and national jurisdictions.
One of her recent noteworthy cases has been the application for the use of the term “probiotic” as a generic descriptor in the EU.
Lara further works on the regulatory clearance of foods, such as food supplements and fortified foods.
